Help E4 Grows
E4 Grows is a small, not-for-profit community project run by local people, for local people. We don’t qualify for most grants, so we fund ourselves.
In our early days, unused allotment plots meant free rent — but now we pay rent, buy materials, and keep the garden growing year-round. We raise funds through our annual Plant & Cake Sale, occasional Autumn Pop-Up, and by selling homegrown produce, preserves, local honey, and handmade herbal body care.
Thanks to a small council grant, we’ve been able to buy kit like propagators and season extenders. Local businesses have contributed too — from worktops and pallets to timber for raised beds.
What We Sell
Throughout the year, we offer a selection of handmade and homegrown items:
Preserves and chutneys
Local honey
Fresh vegetables
All made with love—and with herbs and flowers grown right here on our plots.
Local Support
We’re incredibly grateful for donations from individuals and local businesses. Recent gifts include:
A worktop for our tea and coffee station from Magnet Highams Park
Pallets for compost bins from Selco
Wood for raised beds from Harts and Essex Lofts
These contributions make a huge difference—and show how many ways there are to support our work.
How To Help
Whether it’s a raffle prize, a donation, or simply buying our handmade goods—every bit of support helps us grow.
